Toilet trap

Today, I was trapped in the toilet in our flat, the lock loosened and I could not get out for an hour. 60 minutes.
The way our flat works is the very front door, (communal, three apartments in our house) locks behind you automatically, then there are your apartment doors. My apartment door was unlocked and I decided I would use the bathroom before heading home sweet home.
Used the bathroom, washed my hands, went to unlock the door, the lock came loose. I laughed at first, then I realised I was alone and even if someone was to try and get to me I cannot buzz them up to the flat. I started to hyperventilate. (Ashamed to admit it)
I called my mum, she laughed, I laughed slightly then explained that I was alone and no one could get in.
I put it on facebook in the hope that I could get some of the house mates to come help me.
I phoned the land lord who was playing golf half way across country.
I phoned one of the house mates in town, who stated that she was at a conference and basically wasn't for leaving any time soon because she paid for the conference. -.-
I phoned the parents, they were leaving my nanny and uncle back home and that takes time they said they'd be round as soon as possible, as did the boyfriend, but I had no idea how I was going to let them in.
I thankfully had a neighbours number (purely by coincidence) and he also had a tool kit, after fifteen minutes of him trying to break the door handle he took it apart and managed to get the lock taken apart and let me free.  Don't let this short paragraph of a story take away from the length of the situation and how even longer if felt.

60 mins of panic, heat, laughter and fear of having a bout of diarrhea due to sheer panic, with no window to even take the smell away.  I looked a ghastly sight.
With this in mind whilst I was trapped I was genuinely convinced that I was going to die. I cried, I laughed then cried again. I was so close to having to call the fire brigade for fear that no one could get in including the neighbour if he was unable to get the door down and decided to abandon me.
I was also afraid "What if I take diarrhea and the fire brigade come and the place stinks. What if I die from the smell of my own diarrhea. (You can't half tell I am nursing, eh?) That fear motivated me to calm down if anything.
Actually what made the situation worse was the fact that I had left the TV on the music channel and of course when the rubbish music came on like Miley Cyrus "We can't stop" I was unable to not hear it :( Sad times.

Anyway, I made the fellah a cup of tea to show my appreciation.
I felt wick.
It has to be probably one of the most awkward and stupidest things I have ever done in my life.

I phoned everyone who I had rung in a panic to let them know that I was out and safe.
My boyfriend was annoyed at me because I was on the phone to a girl trying to explain the whole ordeal whilst he was phoning me in a panic to make sure that the neighbour wasn't a murderer.
I came round to my boyfriend's house to try and calm down and relax and in doing so I started to take a migraine, I started to cry again thinking about how bad the situation could have been had I not had my mobile with me. *shivers* I'd still be stuck there 7 hours later.

Lesson learned :: Never leave your phone lying around, especially when you're going to the toilet, always make sure you have it AND THAT IT IS CHARGED!

Such A Busy Week

Yeah... Busy doing nothing!

All I have been doing lately is going to placement, coming home, getting into my pajama's, eating food then going to sleep.  I have been so tired latetly. Sister of the ward thinks I might be anaemic, I wouldn't be surprised myself as I have literally no energy to think about doing anything let alone trying to be socialable
Most of my time has been spent either on Youtube, Tumblr, Facebook or Pintrest.

There is something I'd like to talk about, Pintrest.
I prefer Pintrest to most other social networks (FACEBOOK!) I only use Facebook to connect with family and friends who live abroad or connect with the ones from uni when I have work to do or something.
But Pintrest is a network where people can share funny pictures with others on boards, you can also get recipies, craft ideas, fitness and health related articles, gift ideas, inspiration, pretty much anything you want Pintrest will undoubtedly have it.
I even found on Pintrest an "anti-cellulite" work out that actually works, and has evidence to back up how these exercises will improve tone in the legs and reduce the appearance of cellulite or even prevent it. Actually works a treat and people have been complimenting me on ma tooche... I digress.

I know a lot of people out there in internet land love Pintrest but sometimes have the same problem as me "I shall pin this for later" and then never cast an eye on it ever again.

So this is my idea, every month, dedicate one day aside for you to do some of the things that you pinned on Pintrest. (A Pintrest Day). It allows you to do the things you want to on a day off where you don't feel like talking to anyone or going out anywhere (unless you're into that, then that is fine)

After next week I finish placement and I intend of taking a couple of Pintrest days to catch up because I have been pinning a lot of things hahaha!

Anyways, going for a spot of lunch with la famile here.

Chao.

An introduction

Why hello there,

I imagine at this stage of the game I am the only one here, so technically I have just addressed myself.
Oh well.
My name is Rachel, I enjoy numerous types of stuffs.

Some of the many things that I enjoy include nursing, I am a third year student nurse... The less said about that the better. It scares me that I am expected to know things. Lol!
I also enjoy making jewelry. I have a Facebook page where I display and sell all my items. (www.facebook.com/HMbeads) I find it very therapeutic and I like designing things and seeing how they come together.
I enjoy playing sports like volleyball, football, squash, badminton, and generally keeping fit by going to the gym and following fitness coach type people on the youtubez.
I am qualified in reflexology (which is a type of complementary therapy that focuses on pressure points on the hands and feet that reflect the various organs, glands and parts of the body)

I love tea a little too much, I also enjoy sleeping, and generally lounging around in my bed.
Sometimes people scare me, and my interactions with people also scare me. I will most likely write about those quite frequently.

Anywho, I hope you enjoy

Rachel
